- It is unclear why Peter Dunsire and Janet Japhray's second son b. 1763 was named Robert, unless it be after Robert Hutton, who was a witness at their wedding, and the husband of Peter's sister Barbara [m. 1755]. The only previous Robert Dunsyre in IGI or the Wemyss parish register married Grizzel Michie in Beath in 1694, and there was no Robert among Janet Japhray's male relatives.
