- Lee Center - John J. Seaton, 62, died Monday evening at his home on the Harris Road shortly after returning from Rome.
He was born in Glenmore July 5, 1882, a son of the late John and Francis Stace Seaton. On April 29, 1905, in Rome, he married Beulah Wilson. He lived in Rome and was employed
by Rome Wire Co. for 27 years, retiring 15 years ago to operate his farm from which he retired last fall. He attended the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Rome, NY.
He leaves his widow, five daughters, Mrs. Lewis Sharron, Stokes, Mrs. Clarence Stone, McKeesport, Pa., Mrs. Charles Chesbro, Sherrill, Mrs. Robert Squires, Rome, Mrs. Burgess
Gradwell, Rome, seven sons, Richard M., Empeyville, John F., Rome, Walter C., US Army, New Guinea, Howard J., William G. Daniel E., and Donald E., all at home, also three sisters, Mrs. Stuart Kropp, Paris, NY., Mrs. Owen Lewis, Syracuse, and Mrs. Joseph Murphy, Fish Creek, one brother, Burton K., Rome, also 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at the home of his son, John F. Seaton, 308 N. Jay St., Rome. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg, NY.
