- Headstone in East Wemyss Cemetery. Supported by Statutory Deaths Register.
In 1881 census, Catherine was listed as a factory worker, residing with her maternal grandfather Watson Baird at 111 Sandy Lane, Methil.
Catherine married James Robertson at Innerleven, Markinch parish, in 1883 [confirmed by Statutory Register]. Innerleven, sometimes called Dubbieside, was a separated part of Markinch parish, surrounded by Aberhill and Methil in Wemyss parish. It was where Catherine's parents and family were living in 1881, though not Catherine herself.
In 1891, Catherine with James Robertson and her children were living at The Links, Denbeath. Later, she ran a corner shop in College Street, Buckhaven. Kate Robertson died 26MR1933. Her youngest son, Walter ‘Wattie’ Robertson, managed East Fife F.C. to the Scottish Championship in the 1950s [information Philip West]. [No mention of Walter Robertson in Corstorphine's book.]
