I would also wonder about Norman French C**-de- C** There is also a Caldicot in South Wales <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caldicot,_Monmouthshire> ?from Welsh which means "corner of the Wood" The Cemetery <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddington_Old_Cemetery> Is where Michael Bond (Author of the Paddington Bear books/Films is buried) Alfred is a very English name but Benjamin might be more common in a family with Jewish roots .
