A charter member of the Hazel Dell Garden Club, Ardyth D. Maw died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, in Battle Ground. She was 82.
Mrs. Maw, born June 23, 1915, in Neligh, Neb., had lived in Clark County since 1939. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1932 and attended Wayne State University in Wayne, Neb.
She loved the Blazers and the Mariners and was a Cub Scout leader and den mother as well as a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hazel Dell.
A grandson, Michael Maw, died in 1992. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Forest M., at home; two sons, Donald L. of Lacey and Richard M. of Vancouver; one daughter, Judy E. Johnson of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The casket will be open for viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, in the Garden of Resurrection in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, Wash., for Ardyth D. Maw, who died Feb. 14 at age 82.
Mrs. Maw was born June 23, 1915, in Neligh, Neb. Her maiden name was Ames. After graduating from Neligh High School in 1932, she attended Wayne State University in Nebraska. She married Forrest in 1936 and had lived in Vancouver since 1939. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Hazel Dell.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Judy E. Johnson of Vancouver; sons, Donald L. of Lacey, Wash., and Richard M. of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to Alzheimer's research at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital.
