I have been researching the Darwell family tree since 1990, and recently
came across your website. John Darwell (1840 - 1923) was my gt
grandfather's older brother, my gt grandfather was Charles Darwell (1849
- 1903). John's first wife was Elizabeth Harrison (1843 - 1871), they
were married at Haigh parish church near Wigan. His parents were William
Darwell and Ann Hampson. John married Mary Ann Frost (1840 - 1913) on 10
July 1876, at Sandal Magna parish church on Barnsley Road, Wakefield.
