Lois Helen Maw, age 85, returned home peacefully on June 9th, to Heavenly Father with loving family members by her side. Lois was born on June 14th, 1921 in Salt Lake City to Robert Maw Jr. and Mary Victoria Johnson, the fourth of six children. She was born in and lived her whole life in the same house in the avenues, finally moving to Ogden in 2001. She graduated from West High School, and was employed throughout her career in clerical and administrative services. She worked for numerous companies, including Newspaper Agency Corp., American Oil, IHC, and for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in CES and in the Church Administration Building. After the untimely death of her father, she became a loving caretaker to her mother for 30 years. As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as secretary to several Bishops, and in numerous callings in the Relief Society, Sunday School, transcribing Patriarchal Blessings, and in the Salt Lake Temple. Nieces and nephews too numerous to count knew her affectionately as "Aunt Lois". She spent many years involved in Family History which will be a blessing to future generations. Lois is survived by her Sister, Ruth Taylor (Ogden), and two sisters-in-law, Afton Maw (Salt Lake City), and Beryl Maw (St. Paul, MN). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence (Kit), Earl (Rhea), Harold, and Ivan. The family expresses appreciation to Dr. Gen Biddulph for his loving care and concern. Lois, we love you and will miss you. We look forward to a joyful reunion. ing will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Salt Lake Cemetery, 200 "N" Street, SLC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humanitarian Aid through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Send condolences to the family at www.leavittsmortuary.com
