Zion Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned. Lalla Ruth Maw, 80, of College Street, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Majesty Health & Rehab in Easley. Born in Central she was a daughter of the late William John and Jessie Kelley Maw. She retired from Southern Bell and was of the Wesleyan faith. Throughout her life, she was known as a devout caregiver, whose passion was keeping up with her friends and family, and could always be counted on to be there when someone needed her. Ms. Maw also loved opera music, watching tennis, and she was fascinated with any and all things British. Surviving are a brother, Ronald Maw of the home; a sister in law, Iris Lee Maw of Seneca; two nieces, Terrie Lee Collins of Greenwood, and Rachel Bush of Columbia; a nephew, Daniel Maw of Seneca. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Maw. The family will be at the home.
