      Hi Johann:

      My Grandfather was a Maw, but George and his brother Henry Maw left England on 4-5-1843. When they arrived, my grandfather George decided to change the spelling of Maw to Maugh. In my research and with the help of Frederick Maw IV, I found out that Georges parents names were James Maw and Mary Booth Maw. They were born about 1798, but it does not say where in England. I know George Maw, Henry Maw and their sister was born in Shieffield, England.

      I am wondering if My Maw family is related to your Maw family. I am interested in going back as far as I can.
      If you can help me I would really appreciate it. Also, if you need anymore information. I can give you what I have.
      I know George Maw and his brother Henry, settled first in Wisconsin, and then moved to Owatona, Minnesota. George also had 12 children. His wifes name was Laura Ann Phillips.
      There only sister Anne married a Harrison. Laura Ann Phillips was born 3-70-1827 and died 7-5-1904. Not sure where Laura was born. Laura Ann also remarried a Daniels.
      George was born 12-18-1826 and Died 1-22-1875. Henry Maw married Louise Reynolds, their son was Frederick Maw Born 1868.
