Early Life: Jeanne was born June 19, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Herbert Brown Maw and Florence Buehler Maw. Jeanne loved her time at East High School and the University of Utah participating in choirs, tennis, dancing and theater.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On November 20, 1951, Jeanne married John Marlow Larson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Two years after John's untimely death, she married James William Nibley on May 13, 1976. She enjoyed living in Oregon, relishing its beauty through many camping and boating adventures with her family. She treasured her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faithfully, she fulfilled callings; she served as Relief Society and Primary president, temple worker, Relief Society general board member, and choir leader for 15 years. Emma "Jeanne" Maw Larson Nibley, of Salt Lake City, Utah, returned home due to effects of age and dementia. She was 87.
Family Message: "Jeanne would like you to know she is in a wonderful place where she will be singing and dancing to her heart's content. She taught us many valuable lessons, such as: eat desserts often, laugh freely, brighten people's day, and look on the positive side of life."
Survived By: Her children: Steven (Joanne) Larson, Wendell Brent (Tami) Larson, Cynthia (Paul) Plack, Shelley Larson; stepchildren: Deborah (Owen) Blair, Elizabeth (Stewart, deceased) Clark, William (Brenda) Nibley; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great great.
Preceded In Death By: Her husbands: John Larson and William Nibley; her parents; siblings: baby Shirley Maw, Ralph Maw, Warren Maw and LaRue Hathaway. Jeanne was the last surviving child of the late Governor Maw.
