	The Biddick was registered with the Board of Trade for trade to France, Spain, Portugal and the Azores, as well as having a general Foreign registration. It also made one trip to the USA on 7 July 1903. Entries from Lloyds List 18 July 1998 - Marie (pilot boat) - Pauillac, July 16 2.45pm. It is reported that Royan pilot boat Marie and British steamer Biddick, Sunderland for Bordeaux, have been in collision. Former vessel sank: crew saved; latter proceeded, damage unknown. 27 June 1902 - Biddick (s) - Robin Hoods Bay, June 26 5pm - Steamer Biddick, of Sunderland, from Bilbao for Middlesbrough, stranded North Cheek, Robin Hoods Bay; jettison cargo; sea smooth; probably float next tide. 27 June 1902 - Biddick (s) - Whitby, June 26 5.25pm - Steamer Biddick, of Sunderland, captain Strutt, from Bilbao for Middlesbrough, cargo iron ore, came ashore Robin Hoods Bay, North Cheek, six o'clock. Captain refuses assistance. Fine. 30 June 1902 - Biddick (s) - Stockton, June 28. The steamer Biddick was got off after jettison of about 50 tons of cargo, making no water, and she arrived here last evening.

Increasing sea. ------ London, Aug. 17 - A telegram received from the owners of the steamer Ford Castle states: Steamer Ford Castle, Sunderland for Lindholm, Aalborg River, Denmark, coal laden, grounded west of Skaw at 3.40pm Sunder (Aug 16); making no water. Weather fine, sea smooth. Contract Svitzer Lloyd's Form. Expected float after midnight and proceed Frederikshavn Roads for diver survey. Lloyds Agent Kall in attendance. ------- Londonm Aug.17 - The following telegram has been received from the owners of the steamer Ford Castle: - A telegram received from the master of the Ford Castle states:- Remains fast owing to strong wind and some sea during night. Ship tight, bottom sandy; more powerful tug coming to assist. Intend jettison cargo when labour available. ------ Frederickshavn, Aug 17. Steamer Ford Castle: Salvors have decided to jettison cargo. Another salvage steamer has gone to assist - Salvage Association. 19 August 1925 Ford Castle - Frederickshavn Aug. 18 - Steamer Ford Castle refloated, brought in here, vessel tight. Diver will be employed to examine condition of vessel's bottom. Jettisoned cargo to the extent of about 150 tons. Salvage Association. ------ London Aug 18. - Following is copy of telegram dated Aug 18, received from the owners of the steamer Ford Castle: Ford Castle refloated 2.15 am Tuesday (Aug 18); making no water. About 150 tons coal jettisoned. Proceeding Frederickshavn Roads for examination by divers. ------ London Aug 18 - Following is coy of cable received from Svitzer Salvage Company: Steamer Ford Castle, of Newcastle, cargo coal, stranded near the Skaw; refloated by our salvage steamers Kattegat and Aegir. Ship tight, proceeding destination Aalborg. Contract Lloyd's form. ----- Frederickshavn Aug 18 - Steamer Ford Castle: Divers report bottom plates damaged to some extent. Survey has been held, vessel declared seaworthy and proceeded. Salvage association.
