- Helen Jean Maw, 68, of Melbourne, Florida entered into rest on February 24, 2012 at the Wuesthoff Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 31,1943 in Buffalo, New York to Eloise Sumerisiki and John Petry, she moved to Florida in 1999 where she later was employed as an assistant registrar at Keiser University up until her passing.
Favorite pastimes were spending time with family, friends, and beloved cat Sasha. In June of 2011 she graduated from Keiser University with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and was awarded Summa Cum Laude, High Honor Roll.
Helen will by sadly missed and is survived by: daughter Deborah Kozura and spouse Robert Kozura, daughter Terry Pray and spouse Tom Pray, daughter Karen Palis and spouse James Palis; grandchildren Christina Turner and spouse Kevin Turner, Shauna Irish, Thomas Pray, Robert Kozura III, Joseph Kozura, Samuel Kozura; great grandchildren Savanna Quarrels, Jakai Mack, and Abby Kozura; sisters Marie Barrett of NY, Lorraine Green of WA, and Nancy McCarroll of GA.
A memorial service is scheduled Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Florida Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home 5950 S. US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955 for family and friends with refreshments immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wuesthoff Hospice House at 661 Eyster Blvd.,Rockledge FL 32955 where she found much peace in the last few days of her life.
A special thanks to friends and staff members of Keiser University for their love and support.
