Marriage certificate shows William married under the name William Liversidge and states that his father was Richard Liversidge. Mary Briggs, who as his mother, registered Williams birth, married Richard Liversidge some 18 months later. Census records would suggest that William only ever used the surname Liversidge at his marriage. Ralph William Briggs is shown as having 5 siblings on the 1891 England Census, Edith C, Rachael G, Rose A, Harriet and Walter R. Rose A, registered on her birth certificate as Rosa Annie, was my paternal grandmother. The origin of the William and Richard Liversidge are associated with the Castleford area.
