On the eighteenth day of September 1786«b» William Pask the nephew«/b» and one of the next of kin of the within named George Maw deceased was sworn that to the best of his knowledge & belief this paper contains in it the last known will and testament of the said George Maw deceased - that he will faithfully execute the same by paying his just debts .. and the legacies given and bequeathed in and by his said will so far as his goods chattels and credits will extend and the law oblige him - that he will exhibit a true and perfect inventory of the goods chattels & credits of the said deceased into the Registry of the Archdeaconry of Stow and render and pass a just and true account of his Administration thereof when lawfully required, and further that the said George Maw did not die possessed of personal estate to the amount or value of one thousand pounds. N.B. «b»George Maw the sole executor «/b»named in the within written will died many years before the testator.
On the eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord 1786 administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the within named George Maw deceased with his last will and testament annexed, were committed and granted unto William Pask the nephew and one of the next of kin of the said deceased he having been first duly sworn before the Reverend Thomas Smith lawfull surrogate of the Worshipfull Leonard Towne Clerk A.M. Official of the Archdeaconry of Stow lawfully constituted. George Maw the sole executor named in the within written will having departed this life before the said George Maw the Testator. «i»Note- George Junior wrote his will in 1764 while ill, making his dad executor and residuary legatee - George Senior died in 1768, but Junior did not die until 1786. Nephew William Pask took out administration with will annexed.
