  Birth: Oct. 24, 1917 Manchester Delaware County Iowa, USA Death: Mar. 30, 2008 Iowa City Johnson County Iowa, USA Alma L. Grimm, 90, of Strawberry Point, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Strawberry Point with Rev. Jason Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Pine View Cemetery at Delaware, IA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Roberson Funeral Home and also one hour before service time on Wednesday at the Church. Survivors include one daughter, Carole (Melvin) Schuchmann of Marshalltown, IA and two sons, Carl (Saundra) Grimm Jr. of Hutchinson, KS and Craig (Marie) Grimm of Solon, IA; and daughter-in-law, Becky Grimm of Shellsburg, IA; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve LeFlore and Judy Huls, both of Manchester, IA and a brother, Warren Haynes of Hopkinton. She was preceded in death by her parents;Lester & Elsie Behning Haynes, Husband, Carl E. Grimm, two sons, Clyde and Robert Dean, and four brothers, Harlan Haynes, Victor Haynes, Clifford Haynes and Merlin Haynes. She was born October 24, 1917 in rural Manchester to Lester and Elsie Behning Haynes. Alma married Carl E. Grimm on Jan. 23, 1940 in Delaware, IA He died July 21, 1984. Alma had been a food service director for the Starmont School district .
